Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that assigned projects are delivered to time and budget and in accordance with contractual requirements. The role also has responsibility for ensuring that resources are accurately forecast and allocated (in close liaison with the Head of Professional Services and Programme Director) and that projects are implemented using the agreed Flexys implementation methodology and governance processes.

Key responsibilities
‍

• Manage complex, large scale projects ensuring that they are delivered to budget and in line with contractual requirements, agreed delivery approach and governance/reporting structures
• Lead the day to day project teams to ensure appropriate resource forecasting and allocation to support successful delivery
• Ensure internal tools are kept up to date with scheduled resources and that future financial forecasts are available
• Attend monthly Portfolio Board meetings providing reports on milestone achievements, risks, issues, resourcing etc.
• Be responsible for project change management in line with existing process and approval tools
• Establish and maintain strong, open and trusting relationships with internal stakeholders and external client project stakeholders at multiple levels
• Organise, attend and contribute to Sales handover and Support handover meetings
• Support the Head of Professional Services and Programme Director in the continual review and refinement of the Flexys implementation methodology and supporting governance documentation
• Meet and exceed chargeable delivery targets
• Be flexible and work collaboratively with colleagues in Support, Professional Services, Development and Sales.

• Completion of assigned projects to budget and time
• Form productive and effective relationships with Client stakeholders at all levels
• Flexys standardised governance tools and methodology are consistently applied
• Production of high quality project management artefacts demonstrating a strong understanding of project status (e.g internal and external progress reports)
• Project resourcing and key milestones are assigned, reviewed, updated on regular basis
• Accurate revenue and resource forecasting
• Committed deliverables are met, with any risks/issues being communicated at the earliest possible date to the relevant stakeholders
• A drive for continuous improvement is evident in all areas of activity, with actions followed through

Your skills and experience include...
‍

• Minimum 2 years of software implementation project management experience
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to empathise and negotiate effectively
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience working in the financial services sector is an added bonus
• The flexibility to adapt project delivery methods to suit our clients’ expectations
